This page
provides download files for upgrading an existing installation of
Beam 2D Standalone Edition Version 3.0 (all builds) or version
3.1 (build 8 and earlier) to version 3.1 (latest build). To
perform the upgrade, download the upgrade files and install Beam
2D on the computer that has a licensed copy of Beam 2D. The
setup program will locate the existing installation and upgrade
it to the current version. This process will not affect the
license.
For your convenience, there are
three separate download procedures. Click one of the links below
to start the download:
- Self-extracting executable file (4.7 MB)
This is the fastest and most convenient method. It is
recommended for installing Beam 2D on the computer that
was used for downloading or a computer connected to the
download computer through a network. This method may also
be used to install Beam 2D on any other computer if there
are means to transfer a file of this size to that
computer such as a super-floppy, CD-RW or direct cable
connection.
- ZIP file (4.7 MB)
As above but the file is in ZIP format. You will need to
extract setup files before installation using an
extraction utility such as WinZip. This option is
provided for systems that cannot download EXE files.
- Set of files sized to fit floppy disks
This download will create a floppy disk setup so that
Beam 2D can be installed on systems that are not
connected to the computer that was used for downloading
and there is no other way to transfer setup files to the
target system.
