Upgrade Nework Edition

This page provides download files for upgrading an existing installation of Beam 2D Network Edition from version 3.0 (16-bit) or version 3.1 build 8 and earlier to version 3.1 (latest build). Setup files are provided in a single archive (ZIP) file. To extract setup files you must have an extraction utility available on your system such as WinZip.

To upgrade an existing Beam 2D Network Edition to Version 3.1:

• Download BMNET.zip setup file (7.6 MB) to a temporary folder of your choice.
• Extract all files contained in Beam2D.zip to the temporary folder using an extraction utility such as WinZip.
• Install Beam 2D on the server and client machines in accordance with the Network Setup guide provided with your Network Edition package using setup files in the download folder instead of the setup CD or floppy disks. You do not need to uninstall any Beam 2D files. Version 3.1 Setup will update/delete them as required.
• After Beam 2D Setup is completed you may delete contents of the temporary folder or keep it for future reinstallation. 

If you have an anti-virus program running in the background, make sure to turn it OFF during program setup and when you execute Beam 2D for the first time. You can switch the anti-virus program back ON and leave it ON afterwards.
