Update
- Version 3.1 (32-bit) |
Build 25 |
You must have Beam 2D Version 3.1 Build 9 or later already installed on your system to run update.
If you have Version 3.0 (any Build) or Version 3.1 Build 8 or earlier, you must download the upgrade - this will include all updates (subsequent update is thus not required). To download upgrade files click here.
Your build number can be viewed in the Beam 2D main input window by clicking menu commands Help|About Beam 2D. If your build number is lower than the current build number displayed in the top right corner of this window, you should update your copy by downloading the current build.
Beam 2D update files are compiled with the latest officially available Windows components. If after updating your installed copy of Beam 2D, the program does not start that means that your Windows shared components are out of date and must be updated as well. The simplest way to do it is to download the full Evaluation Edition and reinstall Beam 2D with it. The reinstallation will also update all required Windows components. Alternatively, you can perform Windows Update.
There are separate sets of update files for systems with a stationary license (Standalone Edition) and for Beam 2D Network Edition. Make sure to download the correct set of files; the program will not run when it is updated with incorrect patches.
Note: In order to minimize download time, Windows shared components necessary for Update to run are not included with this download. Therefore, you must run Update on a computer that already has Beam 2D installed. If you have to download Update to a computer that does not have Beam 2D installed, you can save the update file to a floppy disk and run it later on the computer that has Beam 2D installed.
