Beam 2D Stress Analysis is being improved continuously. All reported problems or inconveniences are corrected immediately and the latest build is posted as a free update for registered users of the program. Service downloads provide updates and upgrades to registered users in order to keep installed copies of Beam 2D current with the latest improvements and advances.
Updates are program patches within version providing a way to correct problems or inconveninces and generally do not add new features. Updates are identified by Build Number. To perform an update, you must have the correct version of Beam 2D already installed on your system.
Upgrades include new program features and are identified by Version Number. At this time, there is a free upgrade download to version 3.1 for users of Beam 2D version 3.0.
To verify the version and build number of an installed copy of Beam 2D, click Help|About Beam 2D menu of the main input window.
Upgrade Version 3.0 to Version 3.1
Note that Beam 2D Version 3.1 (32-bit) will not run under 16-bit versions of Windows such as Windows 3.1 (the Windows version number is coincidentally the same as the current version of Beam 2D). Beam 2D Version 3.0 is a 16-bit program and is still available.
